From San Diego,
take Interstate-15 North to Gopher Canyon Rd. (Just North
of Lawrence Welk Resort). Turn West on Gopher Canyon Rd. Go 2 miles to Twin
Oaks Valley Rd. Turn South (left). About 0.4 miles down
the road on the left there will be a gated driveway
leading to the old Gopher Canyon Landfill (see the
detailed image below). The gate is closed during
operating hours but it is not locked. The
address is:

The main gate to the flying field
Open the main gate - drive through - close
the gate - follow the road to the parking area at the
top of the hill. Park in the designated dirt area
(do not park on the grass).
